1. Adding Milk to Scrambled Eggs

Many people will add milk to scrambled eggs in the hopes of getting a creamy and fluffy outcome. However, this milk can ruin your eggs and make them rubbery instead of fluffy. You will therefore have to chew it a bit too much. An alternative is to add some unseasoned eggs to a pan that’s been placed on low heat. Stir your eggs till they are almost done before taking them off the pan after which you can add some seasoning. Sour cream in particular when added at the end will give you that nice creamy consistency.
2. Cooking Potatoes At a Full Boil

Boiling potatoes is not a process people prefer. Many people will cook their potatoes in full rolling boil but in most cases, these potatoes end up unevenly cooked. The outside bit will indeed be soft but the inside remains raw. What you should do instead is simmer your potatoes for just 15 minutes until it’s possible to pierce them effortlessly using a fork. The advantage of simmering is that it allows the potatoes to cook much slower but more evenly from both the outside to the inside even though it will take longer.
