Her doubt about the relationship
The relationship between herself and Larry was unlike any she had ever experienced. Usually, Barbara was introduced to her partner’s family rather quickly and was always welcomed with open arms. However, Larry had always been hesitant to let her meet his family.
His face was always filled with dread at the thought and he explained that his relationship with them was rocky at best. Still, that did not deter Barbara and it left her wondering if maybe he was hiding something more from her.
