Not believing
Peter radioed his fellow rangers, but they did not believe his fantastical story in the slightest. Urging and begging for help did nothing for his case so he had one last resort. He would have to phone the local police.
The cops were just as skeptical as the rangers, but eventually, they agreed to send one officer. Peter knew he couldn’t wait that long. Terrified, he packed up his gear and charged into the forest alone, hoping he wasn’t too late.
