Intense staredown
The tension in the air was thick enough that it could be cut with a knife as Peter and the bear stared each other down. If there was one thing Peter knew as a ranger, it was that this situation could turn deadly fast.
Two lives were on the line and he couldn’t afford to let that happen. As his panic grew, the bear suddenly seemed to change, letting out a sad sigh as it backed away. But Peter couldn’t let his guard down yet.
