Everyone has secrets of some sort, whether good or bad. However, the longer you hide a secret, the more you feel an urge to tell someone. These Reddit users decided to find some relief by telling other people anonymously about the biggest secrets they’ve never revealed to anyone.
From lying about a car accident to going all out for their child, these people turned to Reddit to share the harmless secrets they’ve decided to keep to themselves. You won’t believe some of the things revealed!
Treasure Hunt
U/Automatic-Tour-1489 shared a story about their son really enjoying digging holes when he was about six. One hole in particular was about three feet deep. As the boy dug, he’d find interesting pieces in the hole and was convinced he was on top of old ruins.
The OP ended up admitting that they would go to the flea market and buy small bits of junk that they’d then bury in the hole for his son to find.
Power to the People

Another Poster, U/Alimayu, wrote that they used to write off all of their disposable income for roughly five years so that they could provide electrical service to people struggling in Atlanta.
The Poster also did some finance deals and offered to do jobs at a loss for themselves, including elderly and charity discounts. Though she never told people, many of them appreciated it. Most of the time, this act provided value and stability to their home.
White Lie

One Poster didn’t necessarily keep their secret forever, but for about five years U/quichejarrett said that one time while taking a bathroom break with a friend, his friend mentioned that an older boy at their school, named Greg, was an a—-. However, the OP told his friend that Greg was actually inside one of the cubicles and could hear them.
OP’s friend avoided Greg from then on. Five years later, OP remembered the incident and told his friend that he’d made everything up.
Adds Up

U/FunCommunication6 shared a heartwarming story about their grandmother. When OP was in high school, they ended up with an F in math. While their mom was disappointed, their grandmother had another way to handle the situation.
The grandmother sat OP down and mentioned that she had also gotten an F in math when she was in high school, and she understood, but that OP couldn’t tell anyone that until she passed. Though OP’s grandmother passed away in 2020, they never told anyone the story.
